Amazon already has one of the most popular television operating systems, and now the company is looking to bring that OS to its own TVs. The company has announced that it’s releasing its Amazon-built TVs with some pretty solid features.
Amazon announced a bunch of new Fire TV devices, including the company’s first-ever Amazon-built smart TVs. The company led with the Fire TV Omni Series, which is available in 43, 50, 55, 65, and 75-inch sizes. They have 4K Ultra HD, HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Digital Plus. The 65″ and 75″ models feature thin, picture-like bezels and Dolby Vision.
These TVs feature far-field voice technology, so you can speak to Alexa from wherever you are in the room. You can use the TV to control Alexa whether the TV is on or off, making this TV a suitable replacement for an Echo smart speaker. Alexa will let you tune to your favorite show, control playback, volume, and so on.
