EA has reminded Battlefield 2042 players to not be jerks, taking a firm stance against bullies, trolls, and cheaters while warning of permanent bans.

In preparation for the launch of Battlefield 2042, EA DICE has reminded players to abide by its community charter and not be jerks when playing with others. Many online multiplayer games suffer due to toxicity from other players, something that EA is hoping to avoid when Battlefield 2042‘s beta goes live, as well as when the full game launches in November.

Battlefield 2042 is set to be one of the biggest shooters of the year, blending new-gen performance and combat with classic Battlefield experiences thanks to the mode creation tools and map remakes included with Battlefield Portal. The game takes place in the near future, challenging players with all-out warfare featuring dynamically changing battlegrounds, fully destructible buildings, and an arsenal of modern weaponry. On PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, the game will support up to 128 players in the series’ biggest maps to date. Battlefield 2042 will only support 64 players on older consoles.
