Sony debuts a new video for Venom: Let There Be Carnage revealing Cletus Kasady’s transformation into the titular red alien symbiote. The new film in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe is set two years after its 2018 predecessor as Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock attempts to revitalize his journalist career by interviewing serial killer Cletus Kasady while also struggling to adjust to life as the host to Venom and his responsibility as a lethal vigilante. Eddie and Venom must spring into action when Kasady becomes the host to the dangerous symbiote Carnage and goes on a murderous rampage with fellow super-powered villain Shriek.
Alongside Hardy, the cast for Venom: Let There Be Carnage features the returns of Woody Harrelson as Kasady/Carnage, Michelle Williams as Eddie’s ex Anne Weying, Reid Scott as Anne’s fiancé Dan and Peggy Lu as local convenience store owner Mrs. Chen. The sequel also introduces Naomie Harris to the SSU as Shriek and Stephen Graham as San Francisco Police Detective Mulligan, who is on the hunt for the undiscovered remains of Kasady’s victims. Following multiple delays due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Venom: Let There Be Carnage is nearly here and Sony is still looking to build anticipation for its arrival.
