A Mario Kart fan posted a video of their gameplay showing how Bullet Bill caused them to finish the race in last place thanks to a mechanic snag.
A Mario Kart 8 Deluxe player posted a video showing how the use of their Bullet Bill backfires, sending them from first place to last place. The Mario Kart franchise goes back to 1992 when the first go-kart racing game was released for the SNES. It has remained popular over the years with the addition of new characters, courses, and items. In fact, after an enhanced version of Mario Kart 8 for the Nintendo Switch was released, Mario Kart 8 became the best-selling racing game in U.S. history.
Part of the allure of Mario Kart is the available items that are used for a player to either catch up in the race or hinder other players from advancing along the driving course. These items are spaced along the course in boxes for players to get as they drive through them. They include the cartoonish banana peel, the speed-boosting mushrooms, the lightning bolt that acts as a hazard for all other players, and even the most-hated blue shell. Some items that are meant to be used to enhance a player’s speed may just hinder them.
